WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SHEMAGH AND A KEFFIYEH?

The keffiyeh originated in Palestine and the Levant, recognizable by its black-and-white or red-and-white pattern — a symbol of identity and unity.
The shemagh is more common in the Arabian Peninsula, made from thicker fabric and larger in size, traditionally used for desert protection.
Both represent tradition, pride, and cultural heritage — but the keffiyeh stands as a global symbol of solidarity with Palestine.
