HOW IT ALL BEGAN: MY CROCHET SWIMWEAR JOURNEY

Hey there! I’m the creative force behind ZLCOPENHAGEN, and I want to share my passion for crochet swimwear with you. Since I was a kid, I’ve always loved working with textiles. I spent countless hours making macrame, knitting, embroidering, and crafting in every workshop I could find – from kindergarten and after-school programs to youth centers in Aabenraa and even in high school, where I took art classes.

I went to kindergarten with my big sister, and our sweet pedagogue always had us engaged in small, child-friendly creative projects and a plethora of ideas. These experiences enriched my current life, filled with creativity. I’ve always been curious, fascinated by materials and design, and determined to see projects through to functional completion, like making crocheted keychains, and other crochet ideas.

This passion for creating beautiful, handmade items led me to explore the world of crochet. I quickly fell in love with the intricate techniques and the ability to shape yarn into unique, stylish swimwear. Combining this traditional craft with modern fashion became my mission. Now, at ZLCOPENHAGEN, I pour my heart into every piece of crochet swimwear. Each one is handmade in Europe, tailored to fit perfectly, and designed according to your wishes.
