RECYCLING – GIVING A SECOND LIFE TO OUR PRIMAL RESOURCES

We are one of the leading users of organic and recycled cotton in the world. Our brand is willing to pay more for it due to our high-quality standards. The cotton we use is chemical-free and involves no pesticides or fertilizers in the growth process. We do not use genetically modified organisms (GMOs), and by doing this we support both the farmers and the environmental improvement.

Polyester is another material we use. This artificial fiber widely used around the world is an oil-based material, and that creates several problems when it comes to sustainability. By recycling, we put to good use different types of wastes, such as PET bottles, and we reduce enormously the chemicals, water, and energy use, as well.

Polyamide is another popular oil-based fiber, often used to make jerseys. We obtain our recycled polyamide by processing different types of material wastes, old fishing nets, carpets, and post-production wastes.

Recycling itself has now become a number one priority for ZLCOPENHAGEN, as we use a high quantity of recycled plastic, polyester, polyamide, and cotton. Contrary to mass belief, using recycled materials does not alter the quality of the standard resources, but, in fact, it reduces natural resource exploitation and holds back air, water, and soil pollution.
